Wow, that was a lot of work and very nice of all those creatures to help Mole. Especially since they don't seem to get anything out of it. Except the satisfaction of helping others, of course. Thanks Martini for introducing us to Mr Miler's work.

Thank you, this is just lovely, I had never heard of Zdeněk Miler or his little Mole before, even as an aficianado of Czech animation, something so gentle and universal about this series.

BTW, it looks as if most if not all of Miler's Krtek features are up on YouTube and/or Vimeo.

The first one I saw this morning was 'Krtek a zelená hvězda' [The Little Mole and the Green Star], which pretty much made my morning : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oKtWpECeuIc

Please send me a PM if you are familiar (or not familiar) with the work of my all-time favorite Czech film-maker, Karel Zeman. His anti-authoritarian fantasy films from the early 60s on (e.g. 'Baron Prasil', aka 'The Fabulous World of Baron Munchausen') are among the most beautiful movies ever produced in any Eastern-bloc country at the time, and remain timeless classics today.
