SeaNip Dinner
It swims in a fish sauce cats can't resist!
Today‘s hed gif is a television ad for SeaNip dinner. SeaNip was one of four flavored dry cat foods manufactured by Purina where pet owners could add water to the kibble to make “gravy.” I suspect cats found soggy cat food less appealing than the advertising would suggest, although I could not find any reviews posted online by cats confirming my suspicions.
I also couldn’t find a release date for the TV ad, but I think it’s on our around 1973 based on a print advertisement I found of the same timeframe.
There's a ton of gravy treats out there now that say cats do like to just lick stuff up, although I can't say whether they care for soggy kibbles.
