Cardinal in the Snow
A pop of color in a white wilderness
When I was living in the US, I loved catching a glimpse of a cardinal in the snow. They are a bright, cheery splash of vibrancy in a muted world. Although look at the little face on that guy… I’m not sure if he’s appreciating the joy. I’m sure if you put out a bit of seed for him, it would go some way towards improving his mood.

First winter I lived in Chicago, there was a cardinal would perch in the tree right outside my living room window, not three feet away.
