When I was a young woman in the '80s, long before the internet, I spotted a couple of little owls just outside a hole in the ground. I had never heard of burrowing owls before and I thought they were the most magical things I had ever seen and it sent me directly to the library to read about them. I hope kids nowadays appreciate having the world at their fingertips for things like this.
