Wonkitty is so sporty these days! She sure is sticking to those 2026 exercise resolutions far better than I. One does have to be fit for mousing season, I suppose.
Today she meets up with a friend for a little pick-up one-on-one basketball game. But soon she realizes that her friend plays some pretty epic defense, (and likely has a much better jump shot too). Is Wonkitty above a little emotional manipulation to change the rules of the game to something more in line with her skill set? No, no she is not. As it turns out, this version of the game is a lot more fun for both friends.
Seeing that March heralds, from what I understand, some sort of hoops tournament, with brackets and betting and I guess some kids doing sporty things too, we’ll be doing our own Marsupial Madness this week. Swing on by throughout the week to check in on some favorites, and maybe some new friends too.
Daddy went to UNC Chapel Hill, so college basketball was always his favorite. Last year, when he wasn't even interested in the tournament, we knew he wasn't long for this world. The only things that he was interested in his last few months were his great-grandchildren and reliving memories from his childhood and when he and Mama were young parents.
