Aww! Today we are snuggling up with some weeks-old wolverine babies who were born at the Alaska Zoo in Anchorage in early February, sometime around the 8th of the month. The video was taken a few weeks later at the end of February by zookeeper Erica. This litter of three female kits are much cuddlier than the superhero of same name.
Wolverines—including those at the zoo—value their privacy, so the zoo is not sure of the exact date and time that these little gals arrived to mom Olga and dad Jumbo. They are giving the family space and watching from a respectful distance beyond a quick wellness check, allowing the kits to emerge from their den areas (they have several!) at a natural pace.
These kits are Olga’s third litter, and she’s proven to be a capable and attentive mom. She’s been taking good care of her new little ones, who will one day grow up and star in a Marvel movie, probably. Wolverine triplets fighting crime?! I would watch that!

Aw, they are so sweet and adorable. Just the squee we need these days. Thanks, Martini!
