Mothers all over will appreciate the scene: you’ve spent all day caring for your little bundle of joy, and now you want to sit down and rest a minute to watch your shows (or the gazelles on the plain). But Junior still is restless. He pulls on your apron hem (or tail) as you try to maintain your serenity for a few moments. Oh but he’s just so darn cute, you’ve got to love him and his ridiculous antics. He’s provided one more heartwarming story for you to share with the gals at the watering hole.

Mom is being very patient. This is why I could not have kids. My response would have been "kid, go play in the street 'cause Mom is trying to relax here!" Once I was talking in the breakfast nook with my best friend and we both agreed we could see getting married but not having kids. My mom was in the kitchen cooking and said "Well, young lady, how would you feel if your father and I had said the same thing?" My response: "Then I wouldn't exist and I wouldn't care". My mom's jaw dropped open briefly in intense shock and my friend and I moved our conversation to my bedroom. Thanks for the great video, Martini, of a patient and kind mother lion which is also a good way of describing my mother. Well, not the lion part, obviously. My mom was definitely human.
I’ve said it before and I will say it again big cat moms are the most relatable species of moms.
