This gif is taken from an Internet classic: footage of a mom polar bear and her cubs in the Canadian wilderness as captured by wildlife cameraman Andrew Manske in 2012. The sweetness never gets old, although by now I’m hoping those babies have grown and had babies of their own.
The source video is here:
By the way, Manske is still active and posting his fabulous nature videos and still shots for Canada Wild, National Geographic, Disney+, Animal Planet, the BBC and other media outlets. His work in the 2013 documentary Untamed Americas won an Emmy for “Outstanding Cinematography.” His channel is at this link and his website is here. I’m glad he’s out there doing the fabulous work, because it’s too cold out there for me!
Ta, Martini. Great stuff!
I think Momma Bear would like a break. I wonder if there is such a thing as bear baby sitters? And I agree, Martini. I'm glad there are people who will go outside to film these animals because it is way too cold for me, too. If they want to play in my living room in front of a roaring fire I would be amenable but I don't think the cats would like it. Glad to have you back, Martini and thanks for the gif!
