Wombat! Squee!
The Symbio Wildlife Park in Helensburg, Australia ponders whether Millie might be the cutest wombat in the country. I’m inclined to say “yes!” It’s almost impossible to dream of a cuter little cuddleball.
I learned a new fun fact from the zoo’s website: wombats can reach running speeds of up to 40 kph! Who says we stubby-legged folk can’t compete with the with the elite runners of the world? Wombats are also good swimmers and have been known to cross ocean channels. Good runners, good swimmers… somebody needs to design a wombicycle and get that Millie in a triathlon, stat!

Millie is pretty damn cute. I love how she stops and stares at the camera for a few moments as if to say, "why yes, I am still eating. Do you mind?" Delightful for the 4th of July or any day, really. Thanks, Martini. I hope you have fun next week.
