Fox Versus Pinecone
Playful cub has some time to hone hunting skills
This little one sure has a lot of energy! Today’s video was taken by Theresa Groman, who chronicles the adventures of a red fox family by the shore of Lake Ontario in New York. She captured a cute moment of one of the cubs playing with a pinecone near the family den in April. Check out those jumps! This youngster will be well prepared for future hunts, at least as far as the leaping skills are concerned. And with all that natural springiness ability, our cub friend probably doesn’t even rely on the morning coffee the same way I do.

Foxes are so cute. I can't imagine wanting to hunt them. Unless maybe one was killing all my chickens. So good thing I don't keep chickens, eh?
