Puts me in mind of an old cartoon -- I'm thinking Peanuts but I can't figure out which character it would have been -- of a kid in a crib going, "I want out!" They keep repeating this as they climb over the bars and down onto the floor, and then as they start walking to the door (still repeating their request), they suddenly stop and say, "I am out?"
For a second there, when the cat looked at the trash can, I was sure it was going to jump on that and then over the gate but no need for all that work. My Cosmo could not do that but not just because he is a bit of chonk. He is also a big cat. The last dog I owned was a toy poodle named Katy. I got Cosmo when he was about two months old and small for his age but he grew to be taller and longer than Katy. Slipping through tight spaces is not his forté. Thanks for the giggle Martini.
