Today’s hed gif is sourced from a children’s television program Ernest et Célestine, the collection. The show is based on a series of children’s books by Belgian illustrator/author Monique Martin, known by her nom de plume Gabrielle Vincent. I find her watercolor illustrations just darling. Vincent, who passed in 2002, wrote a total of 26 Ernest and Célestine books, which have been translated into twenty languages and have been the subject of several animated features, including a full-length movie in 2012. Originally produced in French, the movie has been dubbed to English and features the voice talents of Froest Whitaker, Laurn Bacall, Paul Giamatti, William H. Macy and Nick Offerman.
The source video (in French) is below. In this episode, bear Ernest, an avid musician, loses the button on his vintage accordian and falls into a funk. But mouse pal Célestine knows the culprit responsible for the button’s disapearance is the Green Mouse, gatherer of lost and discarded things, and so she embarks on a plan to find him, using a cruton as bait (as one does).

Well that was very sweet. I can see why the series has become popular in so many places. Thanks Martini.
