Our hed gif comes from a 2021 award-winning independent short film directed by India Barnardo. This imaginative little CGI cartoon delights with 3D animation punctuated by stylized 2D segments, adding surprise and visual interest to a fun dialogue-free story of a cat and moth battling it out for the comfiest sleeping spot. Barnardo was inspired by her own cat in developing the idea for the movie:
“When Leia wasn’t a fully grown fat black cat, as she muchly became, I used to be able to hold her up, in the palm of my hand, to the lamp hanging from the ceiling at the end of my bed and she would munch the circling moths out of the air like Homer Simpson eating crisps in zero gravity."
