This little guy, a resident of a botanic garden zoo in Japan, Nagasaki Bio Park, is collecting some material, probably to build up his den or make a dam somewhere on the grounds. Industrious little critters, beavers are. And they don’t even drink coffee! Amazing!
Source is below.
And here’s another little story of a dam-building beaver. She’s so dang cute!
Oh my, beavers are adorable. The little noises Tulip makes! One of the many (many) things I wonder about is this instinctual need to build dams. Why did they evolve that way? I mean, some things in evolution make sense: long necks on giraffes for instance but building a dam? Building a home is one thing but building a home that also changes the environment in a tremendous way? I don't know. Thanks, Martini for the thoughts and the squee!
Ta, Martini. Tulip is too cute!
