Today we were in the region Marthon and St-Germain-de-Montbron areas. The Bandiat river passes through the area and so did we. At one point, as we walked alongside a high riverbank, we surprised a Great Blue Heron. What a magnificent sight, to see such a large bird taking off from so close. I couldn’t get my camera out on time to snap a shot of the heron, but I’ll share some other snaps from our walk.

It is not possible for me to pass a cat without me telling them how cute they are, and today there were quite a few flattered enough to let me photograph them.

No country walk around here would be complete without my usual ancient architecture appreciation. Today, I saw a few cool churches and an inviting little door.

And a bit of appreciation for chickens, decay and other old things.

Check out that old oven on the side of a building. I think it was a public oven at one point in time. And it was in the corner of Bread Oven Road. Fantastic!
I hope you had your loyal subjects clear the path for you. I cannot see you in scuffed Jimmy Chos🤪
I know you love felines, I love Miss Peewee Herman. This is her fur mandala
