In today’s gif, we have a bouncing, bounding trumpeter hornbill. In the wild, these birds inhabit tropical evergreen forests in central-south and south-eastern Africa: Burundi, Mozambique, Botswana, Congo, North Pare Mountains of Tanzania, Kenya, the Caprivi strip of Namibia and eastern South Africa. This one looks like a pet to me, but the source info doesn’t specify. In any event, these striking birds are very smart and love fruit, so it’s hard to resist a handful of grapes.
